The Holiness of God

Did you know that God is Holy and you can be Holy too? In this video we going to talk about why we must be Holy and how it have help you have a becautiful free life today.

Hi my name is Alvin and welcome to the GatherFaith channel where we help you be grow your relationship with God and live a life of faith and happiness in Jesus Christ.

I do have to warn you what I am about to say will provoke you in a good way to help you see how you can be Holy and walk a righteous life in Jesus Christ. Let’s start off on why we need to be Holy from 1 Peter

As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” – 1 Pet 1:14-16 ( NIV )

As you can see, God is holy and He cannot have fellowship with sin. That is why we needed Jesus who is sinless to be sacrifice and resurrected today as our living God to cleanse us from sin so that we can have fellowship with God again.

For Christians like myself it is important that we do not continue to live in sin, but let God change us because if we continue in wilful sin we shall die. Here are some verses about sin we need to take note, let’s read together:

“So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking with you. Have nothing to do with sexual sin, impurity, lust, and shameful desires.

Don’t be greedy for the good things of this life, for that is idolatry. God’s terrible anger will come upon those who do such things.

You used to do them when your life was still part of this world. But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language.

Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old evil nature and all its wicked deeds. In its place you have clothed yourselves with a brand-new nature that is continually being renewed as you learn more and more about Christ, who created this new nature within you.” (Col. 3:5-10 NIV)

I know what some of you might be thinking, Christians do not behave that way in fact most are the total opposite of what the scripture just said. That is because a lot of people even Christians are still living in wilful sin in their life and do not know the seriously of the their sin.

Our life as Christian is a journey and walk toward eternal life and the crown of righteousness that God have promised. It is so important that we do not give up and stand fast to what is good and hate evil ( Romans 12:9 )

However unfortunately there are many people today who once tasted or lived with God but do not live in Him today because of sin.

That is why if you judge Christianity over man’s standard you will be disappointed because many are still in wilful sin today and need to repent and the punishment for wilful sin is death and eternal punishment if there is no repentance.

Make a decision now to reach that goal so that you will not lose the treasure that God given to you, as Paul says:

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,  I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 3:13-14 ( NIV)

Therefore open up your life to Jesus so He can change you. Choose today whom you want to serve, sin or God? I hope you will make the right choice. If you decided to follow God today do share / like this video with your friends. If you like to know more about Jesus go to GatherFaith.com/Jesus .
