Growing Your Faith in Jesus

When you ask any Christian to pray for someone or maybe ask them to do something for Jesus. Most Christians would respond they either do not know how? Or maybe they feel only the pastor is qualified to do so. Or worst they might even tell you they lack of faith.

Christians today are lacking of faith in Jesus because most of them are too business and prioritize their own life more than God. They would rather put more faith in the world than take a risk to put their trust in God.

And the reason why Christians are lacking in their faith is because their faith has no deeds or actions that serve God.

What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”

Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.

James 2:14-19

Your faith in Jesus without deed is dead! That is the number one reason why Christians today lack of faith they lack deeds to do the good work that God calls them to do.

Many Christians today would rather spend their time on working to please their flesh more then God.

Praying for a job, career, family, house, and car are desires of the flesh and not God. Do not get me wrong, I am not saying you cannot pray for these things you need, and God who loves you will provide those needs but what I am saying is these are not Godly deeds or desires.

The deeds that James and I are referring to here are the deeds that God has called you to obey and love others as what God has placed in you today.

Have you ever experienced God prompting you to pray for someone or maybe show an act of kindness to someone or maybe God prompts you to share Jesus with someone?

Serving God’s deed is always about loving others and NOT YOUR DESIRES and NEEDS! We all get it wrong all the time!

Jesus is not about just your sickness, or just about your career, or just about your family problem, or just about your desires in life. These things are not the will of God.

The will of God desires every Christian to build a relationship with Jesus and find out what God wants and not what you want!

I pray as you read this, you will want to come back to God again and spend some time today praying to God to give you direction to take action and love others just as how Jesus has loved you today.
